This week the children of 5B have been investigating how light is reflected by carrying out experiments with torches and mirrors. They found (by shining a beam of light through a gap in a piece of card onto a mirror) that the angle at which th e light touched the mirror was equal to the angle at which it was reflected. Using this fact, they were then able to apply their understanding to the task of making a periscope from a cereal packet! This activity was lots of fun and they all enjoyed peering around corners and over table tops!
